HCH Appreciates Local Seniors!

Last week, Help!ComeHome! sent two of its volunteers to Edgewood Manor, a nursing home in Portsmouth, NH.  Lynnette Nicholas and Mark Shelton spent a sunny Saturday afternoon talking and laughing with Edgewood Manor residents.  These seniors often spend their days alone, with little to no contact from their families. The residents genuinely appreciated the company of these cheerful HCH volunteers who provided spirited conversation, vibrant energy, and an overall welcome change of pace. Jack was especially appreciative of the visit; his conversation with Lynnette Nicholas about his native Naples, Florida brought tears of joy to his eyes! Never underestimate the power of a few kind words or gestures. In Jesus' name, we encourage everyone everyone to reach out to their senior communities, friends, and family members alike!
