Working in NY Boroughs

Good Afternoon, America!

HelpComeHome! partners and works with many nonprofits across the nation, and most recently we worked with NewYorkCares. It is the largest charity in New York, working to help all five boroughs bring aid to those in need. This journey took us to Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. The poorer areas cannot afford park custodians, so NYCares enlists the aid of other nonprofits and individuals volunteers to help make these areas a better place for seniors and families with children.

We also worked extensively with the homeless, providing food, water, and in some cases, monetary aid. Great and loving thanks to all the volunteers who rallied for this gracious cause from Maine, New Hampshire, New York and New Jersey!!! (Pictured below in no particular order: Kevin Murphy, Allen Ramsay, Alice D Richardson, Keri Gauthier, Mark Shelton, Nancy Bardsley, Darla Gould, Coleen E Mayo, Angela Risden, and Antonio Peppers... Lynn Nicholas stepped away lol) Those who joined us later were fellow Board members Renee Anderson (and her wonderful husband Leon) Sarah Cooper, and Michael De La Cruise. Not pictured but ever-present: Founder and Chair, Ellie Mayo!
