The Water Project.

The Water Project at Help!ComeHome! is an ongoing effort to help Americans and Native peoples prepare for and respond to jeopardized access to clean drinking water.

Emergencies like the 2014 Flint, Michigan water crisis once seemed an anomaly in a world where most people didn’t think twice about what was coming out of their faucets.

But now things have changed. Big time. According to a 2026 United Nations report, the world has entered a state of “global water bankruptcy,” where indigenous peoples, low-income urban residents, and developing countries are especially vulnerable to long-term harm.

This tool from the Environmental Working Group allows users across America to find out how much their water is contaminated according to 30 million state water records now accessible in one place.

Contaminated water has quietly become acceptable and commonplace. We refuse to take this sitting down.

It’s getting worse for everyone, including you.

A federal appeals court recently ruled that access to clean drinking water is not a constitutional right. Let that sink in.

With the newly passed “Permission to Pollute” act, water supplies face increasing susceptibility to unprecedented levels of chemical dumping. The map below from the Environmental Working Groups shows cities across the US whose water supplies contain dangerous levels of “forever chemicals” or PFAs, widely known to be hazardous to human health.

The Water Project at Help!ComeHome! is one of our most important efforts. Please seriously think about how you can help.
